INFORMATION FOR VETERINARIANS
I am delighted and honored to assist you in caring for your patients and clients. I offer three services:
-
Casual conversation
-
Teleconsultation
-
In-person examinations (all species)
Casual Conversation
If you need some quick advice on a case and do not require formal documentation, you’re welcome to email (hello@brightlightvet.ca) or text me (613-218-1483) and I’ll do my best to help. I’m available for conversation 9am-4pm Monday-Friday.
Teleconsultation
We are delighted to announce our new in-house teleconsultation service. Click here for more information and to order a teleconsultation. Note that we only offer vet-to-vet teleconsultation services and do not offer teleconsultation services direct to clients.
Small Animal In-Person Examination
I see small animal cases at City View Animal Hospital in Nepean. I provide expert, compassionate, and accessible outpatient and medical ophthalmology services. I will not be offering microsurgical services at this time. If a patient requires ophthalmic surgery, I will work with you to refer them to one of the veterinary ophthalmologists in Ottawa that provide surgical services. Because I function as a mobile ophthalmologist, all patients must be referred by a primary care veterinarian. Clients cannot schedule appointments directly with me without a referral, with the exception of OFA eye exams. Read more about OFA exams here.
To refer your patient, please complete the referral form below. The City View Animal Hospital scheduling team will contact the client directly to schedule the appointment. You will receive a written report from me by email the day of the patient’s appointment. If you have any questions, you are always welcome to email, text, or call me. If you have additional files you would like to submit with your referral, please email them to care@brightlightvet.ca. For a 3 minute video link that you can share with your clients to prepare them for the referral process, click here.
Thank you for trusting me with your beloved patients and clients. It is my honor to care for them.
Equine In-Person Examination
I see equine cases on the farm and at equine hospitals within approximately an one hour drive of Ottawa. As a three-day eventer and former equine practitioner, I welcome the opportunity to see your equine patients and clients. We are now licensed as a mobile equine practice and do not require equine practitioners to be present on the farm with us at the time of the examination (although we are always delighted to have you join us).
To refer your equine patient, please complete the referral form below. If you have additional files you would like to submit, please email them to hello@brightlightvet.ca or text to 613-218-1483.
