Public Health and Safety Policies

Thank you for reviewing our public health and safety policies. Please reach out if you have any questions or need any clarification. We are committed to transparency and accessibility.

Policy as of 2024 April 16

Bright Light Veterinary Eye Care is committed to the health of humans and animals. The Canadian Veterinary Oath states“As a member of the veterinary medical profession, I solemnly swear that I will use my scientific knowledge and skills for the benefit of society.

I will strive to:

  • promote animal health and welfare,
  • prevent and relieve animal suffering,
  • protect the health of the public and the environment…”

Dr. Amber Labelle and her team are deeply committed to the values espoused in the veterinary oath. In keeping with this commitment, we provide a practice environment that protects the health of animals and people.

If you are feeling unwell, we ask that you reschedule your appointment. There will be no cancellation free charged for appointments rescheduled due to illness.

Consistent with the policies of City View Animal Hospital, please phone the hospital on arrival. We are happy to welcome up to two clients in the exam room for the visit. Masks that cover the nose and mouth are no longer mandatory; however, masks are encouraged. Our staff will wear masks if you choose to wear a mask. Masks can be provided to you free of charge. Curbside care is available for any patient and client in lieu of entering the exam room.
